Fire Safety Refresher Course for Medium-Risk Companies

Regulatory references

The D.Lgs.81/08 in article 37 paragraph 9 establishes that workers assigned to fire prevention and firefighting activities must receive adequate and specific training and periodic refresher courses.

Our refresher training courses for fire safety personnel, regarding essential minimum content, comply with the provisions of ministerial circular prot. 12653 of 23 February 2011 and guarantee excellent preparation of emergency teams.

Course objectives

To update the necessary training for emergency management personnel to handle emergency situations caused by fire outbreak.

Target audience

The course is aimed at Fire Safety Team members in medium fire risk companies.

Course duration

The course lasts 5 hours.

Programme

Fire and prevention

• principles of combustion;
• products of combustion;
• extinguishing agents in relation to fire type;
• effects of fire on humans;
• operational prohibitions and limitations;
• behavioural measures.

Fire protection and procedures to adopt in case of fire

• main fire protection measures;
• evacuation in case of fire;
• calling emergency services.

Practical exercises

• review of the fire safety register and clarifications on portable extinguishers;
• exercises on the use of portable extinguishers and methods of using hose reels and hydrants.

Instructors

All our instructors are experts in occupational health and safety with many years of experience, holding the qualifications required by the Accordo Stato-Regioni of 21 December 2011, rep. acts n. 221/CSR and the criteria set out in the Inter-ministerial Decree of 6 March 2013.

Training materials

Each participant will receive course materials on CD, containing useful documents for use and reading to complete the training received.

Final assessment and certifications

Following successful completion of the final test, each participant will be issued a certificate of attendance.
