First Aid Refresher Course for Group B-C Companies

Regulatory references

Art. 18 paragraph 1 letter b) of D.Lgs.81/08 regarding the preventive designation by the employer of workers assigned to implement first aid measures and emergency management, and D.M. n. 388 of 15 July 2003, containing provisions on workplace first aid.

Furthermore, D.M. 388/2003 also specifies the minimum equipment and personal protective equipment that the employer must provide to First Aid Personnel and indicates that the training of designated workers must be repeated at least every three years regarding practical intervention skills.

Our first aid personnel training courses comply with the provisions of Ministerial Decree n. 388 of 15 July 2003 and guarantee excellent training for personnel.

Course objectives

To update the training required for emergency management personnel to handle emergency situations caused by illness or injuries.

Target audience

The Group B and C First Aid course is aimed at First Aid Personnel of Companies in:

• Group B: companies or production units with 3 or more workers not falling within Group A
• Group C: companies or production units with fewer than 3 workers not falling within Group A

Course duration

The course lasts 4 hours.

Programme

Acquiring practical intervention skills

1. Main communication techniques with the National Health Service emergency system.
2. Main first aid techniques for acute cerebral syndromes.
3. Main first aid techniques for acute respiratory syndrome.
4. Main cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques.
5. Main haemorrhage control techniques.
6. Main techniques for lifting, moving and transporting trauma patients.
7. Main first aid techniques in case of accidental exposure to chemical and biological agents.

Instructors

Training activities are conducted by medical personnel with expertise in first aid, holding the qualifications required by the Accordo Stato-Regioni of 21 December 2011, acts rep. n. 221/CSR and the criteria set out in the Inter-ministerial Decree of 6 March 2013.

Training materials

Each participant will receive course materials on CD, containing useful documents and reading materials to complement the training received.

Final assessment and certifications

Following successful completion of the final test, each participant will be issued a certificate of attendance.
