First Aid

The course is delivered according to the GWO Basic Safety Training standard.

Course objectives

The objective of the course is to provide participants, through theoretical and practical training, with the knowledge needed to manage an injury and perform safe and effective first aid inside a wind turbine.

Prerequisites

• Be registered on the WINDA portal and provide your WINDA ID before completing the training (To register on the WINDA portal click here).

Target audience

The course is aimed at workers operating in the wind energy sector or in related sectors.

Course duration

The course has a duration of 16 hours.

Training materials

Each participant will receive course materials on CD, containing useful documents and readings to complement the training received.

Certifications

Upon successful completion of the course, each participant will have the First Aid module credited to their WINDA profile.

Validity

The First Aid module has a validity period of 24 months. The course refresher must be completed before the end of this period.
